Swerv is built around a simple promise: your data is yours. We access only what we need to help you stay on top of your money, and we never use it for anything else.
When you connect Gmail, Swerv reads emails in your inbox to detect time-sensitive items that could cost you money if missed, such as:
Swerv reads email content on your device and sends only the minimum metadata needed to classify the email. Full email bodies are never stored on our servers.
Swerv uses the Gmail API with read-only access scopes. This means we can read your emails but cannot compose, send, delete, or label them. You authorise this access explicitly, and you can revoke it at any time from Settings → Connected Inbox.
If you disconnect Gmail, Swerv immediately stops scanning your inbox. Existing items you've already saved remain in the app until you delete them.
When you use voice or text quick capture, your input is used only to create a new item in Swerv. It is not stored beyond the item it creates, and is not used for training, analytics, or advertising.
Swerv sends push notifications to remind you about upcoming deadlines. These are sent through Expo's notification infrastructure. You can turn off notifications at any time in Settings → Notifications, or in your device's system settings.
Swerv uses the following third-party services to operate:
You can delete individual items from Swerv at any time. If you'd like to delete your entire account and all associated data, email us at support@meetswerv.com and we'll process your request within 30 days.
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll notify you in the app and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Swerv after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
We're a small team and we read every email. If you have any questions about how your data is handled, reach us at support@meetswerv.com
